Dog Inspectors To Go Door To Door In Montgomery County

If he's not, you could face a fine of up to $300 from the Pennsylvania Department of Agriculture.
They will be sending dog inspectors door to door around the region throughout April to check for vaccinations and licenses.

Wardens will be visiting Montgomery County homes with dogs during the week of April 11, according to the state.
They will also be visiting Bucks County the week of April 4; Delaware County the week of April 18 and Chester County the week of April 25.

All dogs three months or older must be licensed by Jan. 1 of each year.
Violators can be cited with a maximum fine of $300 per violation, which does not include court costs.
An annual license costs $8.50, while a lifetime license is $51.50.
If the animal is spayed or neutered, the annual fee is $6.50 and lifetime is $31.50.
Discounts are also available to older adults and people with disabilities. The small license fee helps the millions of dogs in the state by funding the Pennsylvania Department of Agriculture Bureau of Dog Law Enforcement.
