Hatboro-Horsham High Placed On Lockdown
The high school and Simmons Elementary are on lockdown following a threat Monday that other school districts received in the Philly region.
HATBORO / HORSHAM TOWNSHIP, PA — The Hatboro-Horsham School District was among school districts throughout the Philadelphia region and country to receive a "swatting" threat on Monday.
School officials said at 10 a.m. on Monday, Hatboro-Horsham High School received a call consistent with these reports.
"We received information from the Montgomery County Department of Public Safety regarding a series of fake threats being made to school districts across the region," officials said. "Several neighboring school districts have reported receiving similar calls today."

School officials said that out of an abundance of caution, the high school and Simmons Elementary School have been placed on lockdown.
During the lockdown, all students and staff remain safely inside the building, and instruction continues as normal, school officials said.

School officials said that no one is permitted to enter or exit the building at this time.
Horsham Police is on site and working in coordination with the county and school district officials.
"At this time, there is no confirmed or assumed threat to students or staff, and the details of the call are aligned with the reported false threats," school officials said.
School officials said they will continue to monitor the situation closely and provide updates as needed.
