Enterprise Fire Company Names New President
Ernest Brown takes over the reins from Steve Ide as captain and president of the Hatboro fire company. His daughter is a junior firefighter.

HATBORO, PA —Ernest Brown wears many hats.
He's a school bus driver for the Upper Moreland School District and serves as one of the driver trainers. He also works full-time as an Emergency Medical Technician for the Second Alarmers Rescue Squad out of its Hatboro Station on York Road.
Brown is also now the newly elected President & Captain of the Enterprise Fire Company of Hatboro.

Brown made a cameo appearance at the Hatboro Borough Council meeting Monday, getting introduced to a round of applause before heading out to work at his full-time job.
He will be appearing at upcoming council meetings to provide the fire company's monthly report. Brown replaces Steve Ide as president.

Brown also is a driver trainer for the Second Alarmers Rescue Squad, assisting with the training process.
And he's also a proud father who is passing on the firefighting tradition to his family.
Brown's daughter Savannah is following in her father's footsteps. She's now started as a junior firefighter.
"Ernest is beyond proud of his daughter and can’t wait to see what the future holds for her," borough officials said.
The two have lived in the borough for more than 25 years.
"Ernest and his daughter are so honored and proud to be a part of Hatboro," officials said. "Thank you Ernest for your hard work and dedicated service to our community."
