Hatboro Holding National Night Out Friday

HATBORO, PA —The borough will hold its annual National Night Out on Friday to build the bond between the community and its law enforcement.

The Greater Hatboro Chamber of Commerce and the Hatboro Police Department said Friday's festivities mark the 12th year that the borough is holding the event.

National Night Out will be held from 5:30 pm to 8:30 pm at Miller Meadow Park, in the south end of Hatboro across from Loller Academy at 414 South York Rd.

Organizers said the event will feature children’s activities to increase their awareness of crime prevention, a fire equipment demonstration that showcases Hatboro’s volunteer fire personnel, police canine squads, displays of police weapons and communication equipment, and hands-on demonstrations of fire and police safety equipment.

There's also miniature golf.

Organizers said they have also invited neighboring police and fire departments to participate.

National Night Out is designed to enhance the relationship between neighbors and law enforcement while spotlighting the community. It also provides an opportunity to bring police and neighbors together under positive circumstances.

Horsham Township recently held its National Night Out, raising $700 for the St. Vincent de Paul Food Bank.
