Hatboro-Horsham Business Manager Retiring After 25 Years

Business Manager Carin Kajari is retiring after 25 years with the school district, Schools Superintendent Scott Eveslage said.

HATBORO/HORSHAM TOWNSHIP, PA —The Hatboro-Horsham School District is losing another member of its administrative team.

Business Manager Carin Kajari is retiring after a quarter century with the school district, Schools Superintendent Scott Eveslage said at the school board's April meeting.

He noted Kajari's "commitment to the district, her tireless work ethic, and her contributions to the district’s financial and fiscal responsibility.

The school district announced in February that assistant superintendent Monica J. Taylor was retiring at the end of the school year after 22 years with the district. Taylor had also served as principal of Crooked Billet Elementary School.

The superintendent was also almost lured away from the school district recently before agreeing to stay after getting a $21,000 pay raise. Eveslage’s salary prior to his salary amendment adopted at the March 20 school board meeting was $228,912. He now earns a $250,000 salary.

Meanwhile, the school district is also losing two longtime science teachers to retirement.

High School science teacher Mary Beth Creveling, and Kenneth Trautwein, Keith Valley Middle School's science teacher, are leaving after 37 years and 28 years of service to the district, respectively.

At its March meeting, the district congratulated Pamela Porro, an art teacher at Simmons, and health and physical education teacher Janet Adlam, on their retirements.

Porro has been with the district for 36 years and Adlam has 20 years of service.
