Hatboro-Horsham Students Video Chat with Mexican Peers
Using the power of the World Wide Web, elementary school students in Hatboro and Horsham were able to talk live with their peers in Mexico City Monday afternoon.
Fourth-grade students at and spent part of their Monday afternoon videoconferencing with a class of fourth-graders over 2,000 miles away in Mexico City.
The program is part Hatboro-Horsham students' global perspective curriculum, according to Katy Krupa, technology integration specialist at the district.
Elementary school students district-wide are using multiple technology tools, like Google Earth, to learn more about different countries. Today's video chat with the students at Carol Baur school in Mexico was an extension of learning that has been occurring all year, Krupa said.
