Hatboro Man Facing 20 Counts of Child Pornography Possession

A Hatboro man has been charged with 20 counts of child pornography possession after an investigation by the state Attorney General, court records show.

David MacFarlane, 36, of Hatboro is being held in Montgomery County Prison after failing to post $150,000 bail.

The Intelligencer reported that MacFarlane, of Mimosa Lane, was arrested Thursday after agents from the Attorney General's office and the Crimes Against Children Task Force investigated child pornography that had been shared online.

The files were traced back to MacFarlane and another Montgomery County man, Gharald Lynch Jr., 62, of Upper Moreland. Lynch was also charged in the investigation. 

MacFarlane had more than 100 images of child pornography on his computer, the Intelligencer reported. He told investigators that he has a sexual attraction to prepubescent females, the Intelligencer reported.

His preliminary hearing  is scheduled for May 14.
