Horsham Day Date Set, Fireworks Contract Approved
Horsham officials are preparing for the township's annual June celebration by taking care of a few housekeeping items.
HORSHAM TOWNSHIP, PA —The township is preparing for its annual celebration.
Horsham Day will take place this year on Saturday, June 3. And the fireworks for that celebration are also under contract.
At a recent meeting, the Township Council approved a $16,600 contract for Celebration Fireworks Inc. to handle the annual festivities.

"We've used them 10 years or longer," Township Manager Bill Walker said. "It's worked out very well. They are very safe and we've had no accidents. They have a good staff."
Horsham Day returned last year after a two-year absence due to the pandemic.

The all-day event last year involved the Horsham Township Council, staff, volunteers, first responders, fire police, businesses, restaurants, non-profits, the Hatboro-Horsham School District, and Joe Heffernan and the Babylon Business Campus, among others.

Horsham Township is currently accepting applications for a clerk position within the Department of Code Enforcement.
The full-time position reports to the Director of Code Enforcement and provides administrative support to the department.
Candidates must be “people friendly” and have excellent verbal and written communication skills.
They must have or be willing to gain an in-depth understanding of the functions and responsibilities performed by the department. In addition, they must be able to manage a wide variety of tasks, projects, and inquiries.
Proficiency in Microsoft Office is required, and knowledge of Land Management software is preferred.
