Horsham Man Faces 30-Plus Felony Charges For Child Sex Images

Horsham Police said a cyber tip in February led to a search of online accounts and a township home.

HORSHAM TOWNSHIP, PA — A Horsham Township man is facing more than 30 felony charges after a months-long investigation began with a cyber tip about suspected child sexual abuse material, according to court records.

Anthony Jose Caprisecca, 35, of Horsham, was charged after investigators said the National Center for Missing and Exploited Children received a cyber tip on Feb. 5 from cloud storage provider Dropbox.

The tip concerned the upload of a digital file to an account associated with Caprisecca that the provider flagged as suspected child sexual abuse material, a criminal complaint stated.

A review of those materials identified numerous files in the account, several of which were classified as suspected child sexual abuse material, including images and videos depicting girls 6 and 10 years old, the complaint states.

A preliminary forensic review of one seized mobile device revealed additional digital files consistent with suspected child sexual abuse material, according to investigators.

Based on digital records, subscriber information, and evidence recovered during the search, authorities determined that Caprisecca was in possession of multiple files containing suspected child sexual abuse material across online storage accounts and personal electronic devices, the complaint read.

Investigators reported that an analysis of the account linked it to Caprisecca through email addresses, phone numbers and internet protocol address data.

According to investigators, the IP address used at the time of the upload was assigned to Caprisecca’s residence in Horsham.

Additional legal requests to service providers corroborated the subscriber information and confirmed that multiple online accounts were connected to the same individual, according to the investigation.

Investigators also reported patterns of account activity consistent with the upload, storage and retention of such material, the complaint states.

On Friday, law enforcement executed a court-authorized search warrant at Caprisecca’s residence, where multiple electronic devices and digital storage media were seized for forensic examination.

Caprisecca was unable to post bail, which was set at $250,000.

A preliminary hearing is scheduled for May 7 at 9 a.m. before District Justice Todd Stephens.
