Authorities say Clark Leary, 54, robbed the TD Bank on York Road three times since January 2013, stealing $12,154.

A 54-year-old Horsham man has been arrested in connection with three local bank robberies, the Montgomery County District Attorney and Hatboro Police announced Tuesday.

Authorities say Clark Leary robbed the same Hatboro bank three times since January 2013, stealing $12,154.

The FBI and Horsham Police Department partnered with county detectives and Hatboro Police to conduct an “intensive” investigation into the trio of robberies at TD Bank on York Rd.

The first robbery happened on Jan. 4, 2013. The subject, described as a white male between 50 to 60 years old, displayed what was believed to be a semi-automatic handgun while ordering everyone to lie on the floor. Before fleeing the bank after the robbery, he said “Merry Christmas,” according to police.

Then on July 25 of this year, the same TD Bank was robbed at gun point. The description of the subject was similar to the one provided in 2013. On Oct.8, an armed subject described as being about 60 robbed the TD Bank while wearing a ”scream” style Halloween mask.

Using eye witness accounts and video surveillance, authorities developed Leary as a suspect. Searches of his residence and car were conducted. During the searches, investigators said they found items used during the robbery and clothing worn by the suspect, including a black pellet gun made to resemble a semi-automatic pistol, a knit mask, a blue bandana, a Halloween “scream” mask, a denim jacket and white sneakers.

Authorities also found $2,170 in cash and TD bank money bands in Leary’s possession.

Leary is charged with robbery, theft, recklessly endangering others and related offenses.
