Hurricane Ida Relief Funds Available In Horsham Township
Horsham Township and nearby Upper Dublin Township suffered severe damage from Hurricane Ida in September 2021.
HORSHAM TOWNSHIP, PA —Residents who suffered damage to their homes from Hurricane Ida have until the end of the month to apply for relief funding.
Township Manager Bill Walker said at Wednesday's Township Council meeting that Phase II of the funding, which began on April 1, has more than half of the $525,000 in funding that is available and that there's a 98-99 percent chance that residents who do apply will receive money.
The deadline is April 30.

The Hurricane Ida Relief Fund was announced by Horsham Township and state Sen. Maria Collett and financed by a grant available to all storm-affected Horsham Township residents for reimbursement of eligible storm-related expenses.
Phase III of the grant will start in June. Walker said that funding will be open to businesses and commercial but not residents.

Walker said $250,000 in funding was doled out in the first phase.

There is a maximum award of $3,500 for storm-related expenses not covered by insurance.
