At its June 17 meeting, Borough Council appointed Hendrickson to replace Councilwoman Nicole McMenamin, who resigned to move out of town.

She was sworn in by Mayor Tim Schultz.

Hendrickson has volunteered for countless community organizations over the years, including the Boy Scouts of America, Hallowell Elementary Home and School Association, and the Hatboro Horsham Warriors Wrestling Club, borough officials said.

Hendrickson will utilize "her unique expertise as a volunteer and as a former small business owner" to further the impact of Council's Parks/ Environmental Affairs and Downtown Development Committees, officials said.

"She is extremely excited to continue her service to the Hatboro community through her new role as councilwoman and we congratulate her on this appointment," borough officials said.

Borough officials said they had seven applicants to replace McMenamin, who had won re-election in the November general election.

McMenamin led the council's finances/grants and administrative committees.

The loss is also a double whammy for the borough: Her husband Kris is also resigning as chairman of the Hatboro Planning Commission.

In late April, Council Vice President Dave Stockton resigned because his family was moving to Doylestown.

Todd A'Harrah, a Republican, replaced him on the at that point Democratic council.

A'Harrah, who served on numerous boards and committees throughout the borough, lost a bid to unseat Councilwoman Amanda Jacobus in the November general election.

The Borough Council is now comprised of Council President George Bollendorf, Jacobus, A'Harrah, Councilman Alex Myers, Councilwoman Nicole Shay, Hendrickson, and Council Vice President Nicole Reichner.
