No teachers will sent on furlough in the Hatboro-Horsham School District this year.

There are no teacher furloughs planned in the Hatboro-Horsham School District, Superintendent Curtis Griffin announced at a school board meeting on Tuesday.

Previous reports had indicated that the school district might consider furloughs, especially due to continued decline in enrollment.

There will be one less teacher at Simmons Elementary School next year for that reason, the school board said Tuesday.
There are also 12 retirements that will go into effect this year in the school district.
