Penn's Landing to Host Electronic Music, Arts Fest
The 618 Festival is Saturday, June 18.

Our towns offers plenty of weekend fun, but sometimes the lure of Philadelphia beckons—and our new Summer in the City feature can help guide you to the fun.
If you feel like venturing out a little farther from home, check here for a weekly suggestion of something fun or interesting to do in the City of Brotherly Love. Whether it's a restaurant to try, a festival to attend, or special museum exhibits, we'll feature something different every Thursday.
This Saturday head to the Great Plaza at Penn's Landing for 10 hours of music at the 618 Music and Arts Festival. From noon to 10 p.m., an array of electronic musicians will perform (hip-hop and indie-pop duo the Cataracs will headline) while live and interactive art demos take place on the festival grounds.

Food and beverage cannot be brought in, and there's no re-entry, so plan on spending the day on the waterfront and purchasing food and drinks at the event. Local food and vendor booths will be set up throughout the plaza and Pabst Blue Ribbon and Colt 45 Blast will be available for those 21 and older.
For a full line-up or to purchase tickets, visit the festival's site. (Hint: A single general admission ticket is about $50, but if you buy with a group of five, it's cheaper!)
