Pete's Car Wash, Joseph's Catering Under Development in Horsham

Township officials recently outlined numerous commercial projects underway in Horsham, including the car wash replacing Otto's.

HORSHAM TOWNSHIP, PA —Just drive around Horsham Township and you'll notice the development.

Residences are rising as several housing projects are progressing. Construction is continuing to bolster township roads. Businesses are making the township their home while numerous commercial projects are also underway.

At its recent Horsham Township Council meeting, Larry Burns —the township’s director of economic development —presented the annual Economic Development Presentation, running through a list of commercial and residential parcels that are under development this year.

"As I put this together, this just reminded me how much is going on in Horsham Township," Burns said. "Every day, we're out there encouraging business development and attracting target companies for jobs and investment."

Burns ran through a list of several commercial projects planned in the township:

  • The Petrucci Development at 1001 W. County Line Rd., two warehouse buildings, 324,000 square feet.
  • Janssen Pharmaceutical’s expansion of its building in the Commonwealth Corporate Center.
  • Eurofins’ renovation and re-imagining of its property at 795 Horsham Rd.
  • Workspace Property Trust’s improvement and upgrade of its building at 507 Prudential Rd. for occupancy by an ambulatory care group.
  • Pete’s Car Wash at 233 Easton Rd. on the property once occupied by Otto’s Restaurant.
  • County Line Road Veterinary Hospital will be breaking ground and building a new facility at 325 W. County Line Rd.
  • The Joseph’s Catering property at 901 Horsham Rd. next to Hatboro-Horsham High School will become a three-story personal storage facility.

Burns also said at the Oct. 11 council meeting that several businesses have come to the township in the last year and detailed efforts by his office to attract and sustain businesses in the township.

“We have a bright future ahead of us but we can’t afford to take our foot off the pedal,” Council President Mark McCouch said.

In other council business at the Oct. 11 meeting:

  • The Council named Antonio Gissi to the Parks and Recreation Board.
  • John Edgar to the Environmental Advisory Board.
  • The Council issued a proclamation in honor of the 60th anniversary of St. Catherine of Siena Church on Witmer Road.
