Snow Emergency Declared In Hatboro
Hatboro Borough officials are preparing for a major winter storm expected to hit the region this weekend.
HATBORO, PA — Borough officials have declared a snow emergency as the region braces for a major winter storm that is expected to hit over the weekend.
The snow emergency starts at 6 p.m. on Saturday and will be in effect until Tuesday morning.
Officials said the emergency would be lifted earlier should conditions change and roads can be cleared sooner than expected.

A Winter Storm Watch has been issued for the entire Philadelphia region starting Saturday night and going through Monday afternoon.
Forecasters say they currently expect 10 inches of snow on the low end, but there is a possibility for some parts of the Philadelphia area to get 24 inches or more.

Forecasters with the National Weather Service in Mount Holly, N.J., said in a Thursday morning briefing they are now confident that the region has up to a 90 percent chance of seeing "major" impacts from this weather event.
Borough officials said that anyone living in a snow emergency route must remove all vehicles from the street during the snow event.
The following streets are designated as snow emergency routes:
- Byberry Avenue from South York Road to East of the Borough line (Warminster Road)
- County Line Road, East from North York Road to North Warminster Road.
- County Line Road, West from North York Road to West Borough line.
- Horsham Road from South York Road to West Borough line (Continental Road)
- Jacksonville Road from East Moreland Avenue to East County Line Road
- Montgomery Avenue, East from York Road to Jacksonville Road
- Moreland Avenue, West from York Road to West Borough line
- Moreland Avenue, East from York Road to Jacksonville Road
- Penn Street, South from Byberry Avenue to East Moreland Avenue
- Warminster Road, South from Mill Road to East Moreland Avenue
- Warminster Road, North from East Moreland Avenue to East County Line Road
- York Road from South of Borough Line to Moreland Avenue
- York Road, North from Moreland Avenue to County Line Road
