'Strong-Armed' Robber Caught After Review Of Hatboro Business Cameras
The Hatboro Police Department has charged a 19-year-old Horsham resident with the robbery of a boy's food last Thursday on North York Road.

HATBORO, PA —Hatboro Police have charged a 19-year-old Horsham Township resident in the "strong-armed" robbery that took place on North York Road last Thursday.
Hatboro Police Chief James Gardner said police police on Wednesday arrested Joseph Anthony Salters, 19, of the first block of Meetinghouse Road in Horsham Township in connection with the robbery.
The chief said the police investigation included reviews of camera systems in surrounding businesses near the crime scene, which led to the arrest warrant for Salters.

Salters was taken into custody on Wednesday and charged with robbery, theft by unlawful taking or disposition and receiving stolen property, the chief said.
Last Thursday night, a 15-year-old Hatboro boy was walking south on North York Road near East Monument Avenue when an individual approached him from behind on a bicycle and stole a bag of food he was carrying while forcing the victim to the ground.

The victim was not injured.
Salters was arraigned before Magisterial District Judge James P Gallagher of Bridgeport pursuant to procedures set forth under Montgomery County’s Pretrial Services Program.
Bail was set at $2,500 unsecured.
A preliminary hearing has been scheduled for 1:30 p.m. Jan. 20 before Magisterial District Judge Paul N. Leo in Hatboro.
