West Monument Avenue Bridge Replacement Safe: Officials
Officials will address residents' concerns on the bridge at the Hatboro Borough Council meeting on Monday.
HATBORO, PA — Borough officials will address residents' concerns on the West Monument Avenue bridge at a meeting on Monday in the wake of residents' concerns.
"Our followers need to understand that staff and council are doing their best in this situation and are listening," borough officials said in a Facebook post. "While we cannot share specific information with you on the bridge due to laws that are beyond our control, we can continue to assure you that the wooden bridge on West Monument Avenue is safe. We would never allow a bridge to remain open and be potentially dangerous."
The West Moreland Avenue bridge closed in January.
Borough officials said they have taken steps before the closure, right after the closure, and currently to look at all concerns addressed and sent by residents.
