HATBORO, PA —The woman charged for making a racist rant against a borough business has been sentenced.
Rita Bellew, 55, of Hatboro pled guilty to harassment for the rant at employees inside Amy's Family Pizzeria on South York Road in February, said Kate Delano, director of communications for the Montgomery County District Attorney's Office.

She was recently sentenced by Montgomery County Court of Common Pleas Judge Risa Vetri Ferman. Bellew had been charged with ethnic intimidation and harassment.
Bellew was sentenced to 90 days probation, and eight hours of community service, Delano said.

She also must write an apology letter to the owner and staff of Amy’s Family Pizzeria and stay away from the business, Delano said.
Delano said that the Montgomery County District Attorney's Office consulted with the victims —as per common practice —regarding the plea offer and the pizzeria's owners and staff approved.
Bellew will be under court supervision for nine months and if she is arrested again during that time period, she will return to this same judge for re-sentencing, Delano said.
In the expletive-filled viral video, Bellew confronts a counter employee at Amy's Family Pizzeria over a Spanish-language channel being on in the eatery. She demands a refund and then threatens to "look up" the employee and "get them out of town."
Amy's Family Pizzeria captured the rant on a TikTok video.
"Give me my money back. I’m not giving my money to some illegal immigrant,” she said on the video.
The rant was featured on the A & E Network, which aired a three-minute segment about the rant on Episode 98 of its "Customer Wars" program on July 18.
The show features segments for viewers to "see what happens when customers help themselves to anything they want."
