Woman Threatened With Rifle Before Standoff In Horsham: Police
The domestic violence incident turned into an hours-long standoff and shelter-in-place order on Tuesday in Horsham, authorities said.
HORSHAM TOWNSHIP, PA —An hours-long standoff that was resolved without incident Monday began as a domestic violence report, police said.
The Horsham Township Police Department said they responded at 4:45 a.m. Tuesday to a home on Horseshoe Circle in response to a domestic assault.
Police said the victim of the assault fled the house and sought assistance from a neighbor.

The suspect allegedly assaulted the woman and threatened her with a rifle before she fled the home, police were informed.
Police officers were unable to contact the suspect and declared the scene a barricade situation, police said.

Nearby homes were ordered to evacuate and police issued a shelter-in-place order.
The Montgomery County SWAT team was called in and spent several hours negotiating before the suspect was taken into custody without incident, police said.
