Bellefonte community says goodbye to beloved elementary school (centredaily.com) — Families from across the Bellefonte Area School District, including those connected to Marion-Walker Elementary in Hublersburg, gathered Monday to say goodbye to Benner Elementary as it closed its doors. Community members reminisced, watched a documentary on the school’s history, and heard officials outline plans to open a new, larger Bellefonte Elementary this fall while the board decides future uses for the old buildings.
