• Jersey Shore parents charged after two-week old infant suffers multiple fractures (sungazette.com) — A local couple from Jersey Shore has been jailed after police charged them with endangering the welfare of their two-week-old son, who doctors say suffered seven fractures consistent with abuse. The infant was first seen at Geisinger Jersey Shore Hospital, then transferred to Danville for specialized care, and is now recovering in protective custody while the parents are allowed only supervised visits.
   

• Bittner becomes first to repeat in RaceSaver sprints at Clinton (sungazette.com) — Racing fans will be glad to know Jersey Shore’s own Emery MacGill dominated the Rising Stars junior sprint feature at Clinton County Speedway, leading every lap. The night also saw Beech Creek’s Timmy Bittner become the first two-time RaceSaver Sprint winner this season, with strong performances across multiple divisions from drivers around the region.
   

• Preparing Today's Students for Tomorrow's Jobs: Shapiro Administration Awards $4.3 Million in Grants to 54 Pennsylvania Schools Offering Career and Technical Education Programs (pa.gov) — Jersey Shore Area School District will use new state grant funding to buy a virtual cadaver table, giving local students hands-on experience for health and medical assisting careers. The grant is part of $4.3 million awarded to 54 Pennsylvania schools to upgrade career and technical education equipment in high-demand fields like health care and law enforcement.
