• WJAC / USSCO Federal Credit Union Scholar Athlete Contest Rules (wjactv.com) — Johnstown’s WJAC is running a Scholar Athlete contest that offers a $5,000 college scholarship and on-air recognition for standout high school seniors across Cambria and surrounding counties. Athletic directors, coaches, or principals must nominate one senior per participating school, with weekly football matchups tied to nomination deadlines through October and final scholarship videos due in December. 
• Pitt makes tuition free for some students on regional campuses (pittnews.com) — Pitt is making tuition free for eligible Pennsylvania students at its Johnstown regional campus and other branches, starting this fall. Families with adjusted gross incomes of $75,000 or less will see tuition covered after aid, though housing, meals, and fees still apply. Students say the change eases stress and could boost interest in regional campuses.
