• Kutztown University Strengthens Entrepreneurship in Berks with Free Event for Business Growth, Networking (bctv.org) — Kutztown University’s Small Business Development Center is hosting the free Illuminate Berks County networking and business-growth event on Wednesday, April 29, at GoggleWorks Center for the Arts. Local entrepreneurs, students, and community leaders can connect with resource partners, hear a keynote on practical networking skills, and access no-cost support for starting or growing a business in Pennsylvania. 
• Berks coroner ID's Fleetwood teen who died after head-on Route 222 crash [Updated] (pottsmerc.com subscription) — A Fleetwood High School senior died after a head-on collision Sunday evening on Route 222 just south of the Kutztown Bypass, closing the highway for about an hour. Multiple area fire companies, including Kutztown, responded as investigators say the teen’s southbound car crossed into the northbound lane and struck another sedan.
• Kutztown and East Stroudsburg each take a game in a slugfest Tuesday (kubears.com) — Kutztown University’s softball team split a high-scoring home doubleheader with East Stroudsburg, winning 7–6 before falling 6–5 in Tuesday’s PSAC East matchup. The Golden Bears belted multiple home runs and extended their win streak to six before the Warriors rallied late in game two. KU now heads to Shepherd for another divisional doubleheader Friday.
