Meals on Wheels volunteers in Lancaster County adjust to rising gas costs (wgal.com) — Meals on Wheels volunteers across Lancaster County are stretching their budgets to keep more than 400 daily meal deliveries going despite sharply higher gas prices. Drivers are switching vehicles, hunting for cheaper stations in places like Lititz, and cutting personal expenses so homebound neighbors in communities including Manheim and Columbia continue receiving meals without interruption.

Car crashes into front yard of funeral home in Lancaster County (local21news.com) — Emergency crews responded Thursday afternoon after a car crashed into a light pole in the front yard of Reynolds-Shivery Funeral Home at State and Lime streets in Christiana, Lancaster County. Quarryville Fire Company handled patient care, hazards, and traffic control for about 40 minutes, though officials have not yet said whether anyone was injured.
