$1 Million Winning Lottery Ticket Sold In North Wales

Jackpot! There's a new millionaire in North Wales.

NORTH WALES, PA -- Jackpot! There's a new millionare in North Wales. A winning Powerball lottery ticket worth $1 million was sold in Montgomery County, the Pennsylvania Lottery announced. The winning numbers came out in a drawing on Wednesday.

The winning ticket was sold at Redner's Warehouse Market, which is located on 1200 Welsh Road in North Wales. The store also receives a $5,000 prize for selling the winning ticket.

The winning ticket matched all five white balls drawn: 08-20-46-53-54.

If the ticket had also had the red Powerball 13 number correct, it would have won several more million. The jackpot for the drawing on Saturday, April 8 is estimated at $50 million.

More than $125 million in prizes was awarded to Montgomery County winners in the 2015-16 fiscal year, the lottery said.

The lottery encourages the holder of the winning ticket to sign the back of the ticket, call the Lottery at 717-702-8146, and file a claim at Lottery headquarters in Middletown, Dauphin County, or at any of Lottery’s seven area offices.
