$25K Donation Provides Scholarships For Female Students In Montco

A donation of $25,000 has allowed for the creation of a new scholarship for women at Montgomery County Community College.

BLUE BELL, PA — A donation of $25,000 has allowed for the creation of a new scholarship for women at Montgomery County Community College.

The donation comes from the Colony Club of Ambler. All female students who are also residents of Ambler, Upper Dublin, or Lower Gwynedd are eligible to apply.

“We are inspired by Montgomery County Community College students who work so hard to improve their lives through higher education,” Colony Club President Lucille Kelly said in a statement. “Our members appreciate that MCCC is here in Montgomery County to help residents and their families reach their education goals and get ahead.”

The Colony Club, founded 128 years ago, focuses on volunteer work that assists the community and "serves as a force for global good."
