UPDATE: Woman, Son Dead In Montco Murder Suicide

Three people in Hatfield are dead after an apparent murder-suicide early Monday, according to the Montgomery County District Attorney’s Office.

Police were dispatched to a home on 138 Diamond Street in Hatfield at about 11:34 p.m. Sunday night, the DA said.

A woman, age 48, her son, age 28, and another man, age 48, were found dead inside the home.

The 48-year-old man appeared to have died from a self-inflicted gunshot wound, according to the DA. He was holding a semi-automatic rifle.

Both the mother and son sustained multiple gunshot wounds.

Two other individuals, a 27-year-old woman and a four year old child were inside the home at the time of the incident, but were not hurt.

The identities of the individuals are being withheld pending notification of family members.

Autopsy results are pending.
