5 Points Intersection Construction Continues In Montgomery Township
The ongoing $14.2 million project will cause several lane closures at the crucial intersection this week.

MONTGOMERY TOWNSHIP, PA — Construction work will continue this week on the Five Points Intersection in Montgomery Township, part of the ongoing $14.2 million project to improve congestion in one of the region's most crucial and congested cross streets.
One of the area's key intersections, Five Points brings together Route 309 (Bethlehem Pike), Route 463 (Horsham Road/Cowpath Road), and Business U.S. 202 (Doylestown Road).
Lane closures will be in place on Tuesday, April 23 from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m., and Wednesday, April 24 through Friday, April 26 from 7 p.m. to 5 a.m.

Impacted roads include:
- Route 309 (Bethlehem Pike) between North Wales Road to McLaughlin Road
- Route 463 (Cowpath Road/Horsham Road) between Lansdale Avenue and North Wales Road
- Business U.S. 202 (Doylestown Road) between Route 309 (Bethlehem Pike) and Betty's Avenue
Crews are currently completing utility work. When finished, the project will add additional lanes in both directions on Route 463 and southbound Route 309.

The widened roadway will bring 18 travel lanes to the intersection over the current 15.
Traffic signals will also be upgraded and retimed, new sidewalks and ADA curb ramps will be added, as well as improved stormwater drainage and work on reducing area erosion sediment.
The project is financed fully at the federal level. Road-Con Inc. of West Chester is the general contractor.
