8 Hospitalized In Montco For Carbon Monoxide Poisoning
A power generator was left running in one of the homes, spreading noxious fumes to nearby residences in Norristown.

There was so much carbon monoxide coming from a residence on West Airy Street in Norristown on Saturday night that eight people had to be sent to the hospital, police said.
Crews were initially called to the scene at about 11 p.m., fire officials confirmed. One person was vomiting, police said.

A generator was running in the basement of 156 West Airy Street, giving off exhaust fumes throughout the home, according to police.
Elevated carbon monoxide readings were found in a total of five homes, officials said.

Four of the victims were taken to the University of Pennsylvania Trauma Center, according to police.
