Aggressive Driving Crackdown Planned In Montgomery Township
Tailgating, speeding, careless passing, running red lights, and more will be targeted in the regional initiative.
MONTGOMERY TOWNSHIP, PA — Police are cracking down on agressive driving around Montgomery Township and the greater Philadelphia region as part of a wide-ranging, multi-agency initiative, they announced Monday.
Police said they will be on the lookout for behaviors like running red lights, failing to stop at stop signs, and speeding, officials said.
Traffic enforcement zones, work zone enforcement, and multi-jurisdictional patrol strategies will all be used to identify and cite aggressive drivers.

Some 1,326 crashes were caused by aggressive drivers around the five-county Philadelphia area in 2022, resulting 37 deaths and 94 serious injuries.
Aggressive driving is identified as running stop signs and red lights, tailgating, careless passing, and speeding.
