LANSDALE, PA — Police are warning the public in Lansdale about issues ongoing at the SEPTA parking garage, where teenagers and adults have been causing a bizarre cross section of mayhem.
Authorities say that recently "fights, underage drinking, criminal mischief, disorderly conduct, and other unlawful activity" has taken place at the garage.
"To be clear: the SEPTA parking garage is private property and is intended solely for the parking of vehicles," police said in a statement. "Being in the garage for anything other than its intended purpose is not permitted and may constitute trespassing."
Police have responded to the scene on several occasions in recent weeks and made arrests.
Authorities said numerous different groups and individuals have been gathering there.
Police are increasing their patrols around the garage and say that anyone found loitering and trespassing around the garage will be cited or arrested.
"Parents and guardians are strongly advised not to drop off or allow juveniles to use the parking garage as a meeting place or gathering spot," the department added. "Enforcement will continue, and further action will be taken as necessary to ensure the property is used only for its intended purpose."
That includes adults, police said.
