Beloved Lansdale Man, Barber Was Found Dead In Trunk

Additional details have emerged in the death of Danny Torres, the beloved Bridgeport barber and Lansdale native found dead weeks ago.

LANSDALE, PA — Additional details have emerged in the death of Danny Torres, the beloved Bridgeport barber and Lansdale native found dead weeks ago.

Authorities confirmed that Torres, 33, was found dead inside the trunk of his car on the 700 block of North Valley Forge Road on May 9.

But it's still not clear what happened to him after he left a friend's house on Sunday, April 29 between 6 a.m. and 7 a.m., according to missing persons reports.

He wrote on his Facebook page that he planned to return to work on Wednesday, May 2, but he never showed up, Pennsylvania State Police said.

Paul Keen Jr., who leased the barbershop space to Torres, said that Torres had said he was going for a short vacation to Atlantic City, according to Philly.com.

No arrests have been made. A cause and manner of death remain under investigation pending autopsy results, which are expected in the coming weeks.

Torres was a popular and widely loved figure in both his hometown and the Bridgeport area, where he opened "Danny's Barbershop" in 2017. The shop, located on 113 West 4th Street, was a thriving business.

Torres' Facebook page was flooded with messages of love and mourning from friends, family, and numerous beloved customers, with several calling him "the greatest barber ever."

Now, police are hoping the public can help identify a person of interest in the investigation.

The individual pictured in the video below was captured on surveillance footage on April 29 as he crossed North Broad Street at 7th Street at around 6:33 p.m.
