Trend MLS, a multiple listing service provider for real estate needs, has just released May 2013’s Market Statistics for all of our local counties and WOW has the market been booming.  The statistics Trend emphasizes upon are inventory (the number of active listings on the market for a specific month), pended units (number of homes with pended /under contract dates), and settled units (number of homes settled/ closed within the month).  For single family homes in Montgomery County inventories decreased by 10.3% comparing to May 2012, while pended units increased 28% and settled units increased by 13%.  Like Montgomery County, Bucks and Chester counties follow the same trend.  Bucks County inventories for single family homes have decreased by 7.6%, as pended units increased by 32% and settled units increased by 12.6% from last year.  Chester County has seen more impactful results, inventories decreased by 15.3%; pended units increased by 34.7% and settled units increased by 20.1%. When comparing May 2012 to this year, we’ve seen results consistent across our surrounding counties, inventories decreasing as pended and settled units are increasing!   For more information on our current local market statistics visit www.cbrealtycorp.com
