Valley Forge Park Revolutionary Shuttle

New Revolutionary Shuttle at Valley Forge Park

My family has always loved visiting Valley Forge Park.  Less than a 30 minute drive from the Lansdale area, this park is wonderful for picnics, biking, walking, roller-blading and just hanging out with the family.  I saw on their Facebook page today that the new Revolutionary Shuttle kicks off its summer run starting June 16! Beat the heat, save money on gas, and be environmentally friendly by taking advantage of free transportation around Valley Forge NHP! The Shuttle runs daily from 11am to 6pm and stops at nine locations in the park.  If you have ever been to Valley Forge, you will know that the park covers a very large area.  Unless you want to just visit one specific area of the park, it may be overwhelming for some to think about going there.  By using the new shuttle, you can park once and then hop on and off the shuttle at will.  We like to take along a picnic basket and use one of the tables in the picnic area located behind the memorial arch.  Very picturesque area with lots of shady trees as well as public rest rooms, which makes it a great area for families with children.   And best of all - IT'S FREE!!
