Chesterbrook Academy in Chalfont Donates to Local Food Pantry

Students held a food drive in support of New Britain Baptist Church's Food Larder and collected more than 90 pounds of food.

Students at Chesterbrook Academy Preschool in Chalfont recently delivered more than 90 pounds of food to New Britain Baptist Church’s Food Larder, which provides food for both individuals and families in need of assistance in the Central Bucks and New Hope School Districts. Over the past month, students collected nonperishable food items to help stock the organization’s shelves and feed community members in need. After delivering the items, students received a tour of the food pantry and learned about how the food is organized and distributed.

In addition to their donation to New Britain Baptist Church’s Food Larder, students fulfilled the wishes of pediatric patients by donating gifts to Doylestown Health's Della Penna Pediatric Center, as well as collected pajamas for Scholastic’s Great Bedtime Story Pajama Drive. Through these initiatives, students learned the importance of helping others, especially during the holiday season.
