Chesterbrook Academy Preschool Donates Food to Angels in Motion
Students partnered with a local high school to collect nonperishable food items to be distributed to the local homeless community
Students at Chesterbrook Academy Preschool in North Wales recently donated a variety of food items to nonprofit organization Angels in Motion. In November, students held a food drive to collect granola and cereal bars, juice boxes, fruit snacks, chips and more for the organization. At the end of the collection, students packed up the donations and delivered them to Hatboro-Horsham High School, where they worked with the high school’s Interact Club to create food bags that Angels in Motion will distribute to the local homeless community.
In addition to their donation to Angels in Motion, students also held a breakfast with Santa fundraising event on Dec. 7 to raise money for children undergoing treatment at Children’s Hospital of Philadelphia (CHOP). Through these initiatives, students are learning the importance of helping others, especially during the holiday season.
