Children's Health & Safety Day - "Media Smart Youth"

On July 19, 2015, BAPS Charities Lansdale is hosting its 4th annual Children’s Health and Safety Day to promote health and safety awareness for children, parents and caretakers in the community. This event is hosted in support of the National Institute of Health’s ‘Media Smart Youth’ campaign in order to promote healthy habits amongst the youth.

The theme of this event will focus on the increasing influence of media in the day to day lives of the youth. It will also provide youth and families with the tools to help overcome these challenges. The goal of the event is to help the youth become “media smart,” decipher between what is healthy vs unhealthy and ultimately “Eat, Think, and Be Active!”

Highlights of the event include emergency vehicle tours, a landing from JeffStat helicopter, interactive workshops, and insightful presentations throughout the day.
