Community Rallies Behind Lansdale Family, Injured Cop
The community is standing behind a local officer and father of three who was injured in the line of duty last fall.
LANSDALE, PA -- For years, Lansdale resident and Telford borough police officer Brett Popiny has served the local community.
However, he was injured in the line of duty last September, and he's been unable to return to work.
Complicating matters for Popiny and his wife, Colleen, is that they're trying to raise three children. That includes an 11-year-old with cerebral palsy, who requires extra care and resources.

"The Popinys are wonderful people and Brett has dedicated his professional career to serving the community," wrote Christian Barrett, who launched the fundraiser. "It's time that we reverse roles and help the Popiny's in this extremely difficult time."
