Coronavirus Death Toll Rises To 416 In Pennsylvania
Another 78 Pennsylvania residents have died from coronavirus, officials announced Friday. The total number of cases is just under 20,000.
PENNSYLVANIA — Another 78 Pennsylvania residents have died from coronavirus, officials announced Friday, equaling the highest single day death toll thus far. That brings the statewide number of deaths from the virus to 416.
In addition, a total of 1,751 additional cases were found. The total number of cases in Pennsylvania is just under 20,000, at 19,979, as of Friday morning.

The state has 93,040 patients who have tested negative.
By far the largest group of positives is the 25 to 49 year-old age brack, which accounts for 41 percent of all positive cases. They're followed by 29 percent aged 50 to 64, and 21 percent age 65 and over. Just 7 percent are aged 19 to 24, and just about 2 percent are 18 and under.

"Now more than ever, as we continue to see COVID-19 cases and deaths rise in Pennsylvania, we need Pennsylvanians to take action,” Secretary of Health Dr. Rachel Levine said in a statement. "Those actions should be to stay calm, stay home and stay safe."
