On the 242nd anniversary of “the shot heard round the world” igniting the Revolutionary War, DUVCW Tent 58 members Dr. Marion Lane and Constance Cole attended the grand opening of the Museum of the American Revolution in Philadelphia, PA.
The day began in Washington Square at the Tomb of the Unknown Soldier of the American Revolution where the U.S. Army Old Guard laid a wreath and the Oneida Indian Nation offered a blessing.
The festivities moved onto Independence Hall where the U.S. Grand Old Guard’s color guards and fife & drum corps performed.

The Old Guard then marched down Chestnut Street to the new Museum where an official dedication and ribbon-cutting ceremony was held formally opening the Museum to the public.
