Eagle Scout Honored By Lansdale Mayor For Cannon Project
Nathaniel Maier of Boy Scout Troop 141 realized that a crucial improvement could be made to the Memorial Park cannons in Lansdale.

LANSDALE, PA -- The mayor of Lansdale honored a local Eagle Scout at a council business meeting recently for his work on a project which has helped educate the community about an important local lansdmark.
Nathaniel Maier of Boy Scout Troop 141 researched the cannons at Memorial Park and creating bronze informational plaques to be placed there.
"This project has provided a much answered question for many park- goers as to the origin of these cannons and why they were placed here in Lansdale," Mayor Szekely said in his recognition of Maier. "Your project has added value to the experience of going to Memorial Park and for that we are sincerely grateful that you identified and completed this project."
