Everence Souderton Credit Union Members Vote to Donate $1,500 to Philadelphia Community Center

Everence Souderton Credit Union members selected Crossroads Community Center to receive $1,500 in funding to support its mission work.

Each year, Everence Federal Credit Union donates 10 percent of its Visa credit card income to church, mission and relief organizations through its Rebate for Missions™ program. Everence credit union members vote for the local and national organizations of their choice and, ultimately, decide on the recipients of the funding.

Locally, Everence Souderton Credit Union members selected Crossroads Community Center to receive $1,500 in funding to support its mission work in the greater community. For more than 40 years, Crossroads Community Center has ministered and shared God’s love in North Philadelphia. Its youth center provides a safe haven for the youth of the neighborhood with tutoring programs, computer lab, summer camps and Bible studies. The gospel is also preached in word and deed through emergency food assistance to seniors and families in need, job training and prison ministry. Since 1995, Everence Federal Credit Union has awarded nearly $363,000 to churches, missions and relief organizations locally and around the world. Some of the organizations include Mennonite World Conference, Mennonite Central Committee, Mennonite Mission Network, Eastern Mennonite Missions, and Christian Aid Ministries as well as to charitable organizations in communities in which Everence has branch offices.
