Father Of Bullied Child To Speak At North Penn

John Halligan, whose son Ryan died by suicide after being bullied in school and online, will speak to the North Penn school community.

LANSDALE, PA — John Halligan, whose son Ryan died by suicide after being bullied in school and online, will speak to the North Penn school community during a special presentation.

The event coincides with National Bullying Prevention Month in Cotober.

The program, "Bullying, Cyberbullying, and Youth Depression" aims to help families learn how to deal with bullying before it's too late.

Ryan Halligan died in Oct. 2003. He was just 13 years old.

The event will take place at Pennbrook Middle School's auditorium on Tuesday, Oct. 15 from 7 p.m. to 8:30 p.m.
