Lansdale Beer Fest kick-off party is at 6 p.m. at Blue Dog Pub in Chalfont

2. The Lansdale Beer Tasting Festival kick-off party is tonight at Blue Dog Pub in Chalfont from 6 p.m. to 8 p.m. There will be local beers and tickets available to the festival. Tapped beers include Round Guys Brewery, Free Will Brewing Co., Forest and Main Brewery and Prism Brewing Co. First 50 ticket buyers get free swag.

3. The PennSuburban Chamber of Commerce Business Fair 2012 featuring a Taste of North Penn is from 1:30 p.m. to 6 p.m. at Gwynedd-Mercy College’s Griffin Complex in Lower Gwynedd. There is a $30 kick-off luncheon at 11:30 a.m. with guest speaker District Attorney Risa Vetri Ferman.

4. Montgomery County Community College holds its annual Presidential Symposium today from 12:30 p.m. to 2 p.m. in the Science Center Theater, Central Campus, Blue Bell. The featured speaker is Dr. Ainissa Ramirez, associate professor of Mechanical Engineering at Yale University.

5. Bridle Path Elementary holds a parent/son event at 6 p.m.
