The Culinary Arts Institute of Montgomery County Community College groundbreaking ceremony is at 11 a.m.

1. PennSuburban Chamber hosts a small business workshop “Using Your Membership as a Marketing Tool” at 8 a.m. at the chamber offices at 34 Susquehanna Ave., Lansdale. Cost is $20 for non-members and free for members. The seminar is presented by chamber members Tanya Bamford, Karen Jett, Paul Nye and Liz Vebber.
2. A groundbreaking ceremony for the Culinary Arts Institute of Montgomery County Community College will be held at 11 a.m. at Towamencin Town Square.

4. Angelique Kidjo performs at 8 p.m. at ’s Science Center Theater, 340 DeKalb Pike, Blue Bell, as part of the “Africa: The Call and Response” series, funded by the Pew Center for Arts and Heritage through the Philadelphia Music Project.
5. Entries must be received or postmarked today for PennDOT’s Distracted Driving PSA Contest for high school students. Students can submit a 30-second radio PSA and the winning announcement will be professionally produced and sent to the student’s local media market. Submissions should be submitted in MP3 or MP4 format, or in written format. Entries can be sent to RA-penndotpress@pa.gov or mailed to PennDOT Press Office, c/o Erin Waters, 8th Flor-Keystone Building, 400 North St., Harrisburg, PA 17120.
