Former Lansdale Woman, Local Restaurant Owner, Dies At 92
Marie Fida, 92, was the co-owner of a North Wales restaurant for years.

LANSDALE, PA — Marie D. Fida, 92, of Sellersville, formerly of Lansdale, passed away Sunday, November 12, 2017. She was the wife of the late Joseph R. Fida who died August 25, 1999.
Born June 28, 1925, in Philadelphia, she was the daughter of the late John V. and Marie A. (Casey) Millard.

Mrs. Fida was of the Catholic faith. She was the co-owner of the former Hitching Post Restaurant, North Wales.
Her survivors include two children, Rick Fida III, Shawnee, KS, and Jo-Ann Gilbert (Gary), San Diego, CA; grandchildren, Leigh and Lisa Marie Gilbert, and Michael Coop; great granddaughter, Annalea DaRosa; brother-in-law, Richard Fida, Plymouth Meeting; along with baby David to be born.

There will be a time to greet the family starting 10 a.m. Wednesday, November 15, 2017, at St. Mary Center, 701 Lansdale Ave., Lansdale, PA 19446, with the Funeral Mass at 11:00 a.m. Interment will follow in Whitemarsh Memorial Park.
