Former Philadelphia Eagle Barrett Brooks To Speak At North Penn Boys And Girls Club Event
Former Philadelphia Eagles offensive tackle Barrett Brooks will be in town on Thursday.

LANSDALE, PA — Former Philadelphia Eagles offensive tackle Barrett Brooks will be in the borough on Thursday, as he speaks at an event for the North Penn Valley Boys and Girls Club.
Brooks, 45, is now retired. He played 11 seasons in the NFL, including his first four with the Eagles. He eventually won a Super Bowl ring with the Pittsburgh Steelers during Super Bowl XL in 2006.
He will speak at the club's annual Celebration of Children and Youth dinner, which will be held Thursday at the William Penn Inn in Gwynedd.

"The Celebration of Children & Youth is an opportunity for us to recognize and acknowledge the hard work and dedication brought to the Club each year by our Board of Directors, youth membership, staff, and volunteers,” says Robert K. Kreamer, Chief Executive Officer of the North Penn Valley Boys and Girls Club.
More than 250 guests are expected at the event, which will also honor the Club’s Youth of the Year, North Penn senior Greg Gilrain.

The North Penn Valley Boys and Girls Clubs provides educational, recreational, and character-building programs for 3,200 children and teens every year.
