On the Fouth of July, Pennsylvania residents and non-residents can fish for free. Here's what you need to know:

This Thursday, July 4, is Fish For Free Day in Pennsylvania, meaning that anyone is able to legally fish in Pennsylvania waters without a fishing license.

The biannual event, sponsored by the PA Fish & Boat Commission, was also held back on Sunday, May 26.

Trout and salmon permits are also not required.
