Groundbreaking Upcoming For Lansdale's 181-Unit Luxury Apartments

Major changes are coming to Lansdale.

LANSDALE, PA — A groundbreaking ceremony for the new 181-unit luxury apartment complex in Lansdale will be held on Nov. 14, organizers announced. It marks a major milestone in the ongoing revitalization and development of the borough and surrounding area.

The new development, Madison Lansdale Station, is located adjacent to the Lansdale SEPTA Train Station and has been described as "transit-oriented."

One and two bedroom apartments will be available for reservation in spring 2018, and for move-in by fall 2018.

The complex will also include 15,500 square feet of ground level retail.

Initial sketches for the plan, launched by Equus Capital Partners, were first unveiled in March of 2013.

"It's an opportunity to create something more through a public-private partnership between and among the borough, Equus and SEPTA: a truly multimodal transit-oriented development, which serves as the focal point and a primary gathering place for the borough," Lansdale Parking Authority Chairman Dan Dunigan said at the time.

Equus purchased the property from the Lansdale Parking Authority, which said they no longer needed the lot due to the construction of the parking garage.

"We're looking forward to contributing to all the exciting new development that has recently occurred in Lansdale," said George Haines, Vice President of Equus who oversaw the acquisition of the site, in a statement. "Our thoughtfully designed residences and central location will appeal to those who value quality and convenience in a walkable and historic downtown setting."

Wulff Architects designed the complex.
